Call of Duty: Black Ops II ESL Singapore qualifiers starting this month

Two winning teams of qualifiers will automatically compete in Asia Finals.

The Electronic Sports League of Asia (ESL) has announced that it will be hosting the Singapore qualifiers for the Call of Duty Championship 2013 tournament on March 16 starting at 3pm.

The game used in the tournament will be the most recent title in the franchise: Call of Duty: Black Ops II. Teams of four players within the region will be competing online for two team spots in the Asia finals on March 17. The competition will also involve teams from Hong Kong, Taiwan, and South Korea.

The two top Asian teams will then qualify to compete in the Call of Duty Championship 2013 tournament held in Hollywood, Los Angeles on April 5 to 7. The winning team of the final tournament will win $1 million dollars in prize money.

Gamers wishing to participate will need to have ESL accounts, be 18 years of age and a team of their own. The deadline for signing up is March 16 at 2:45pm. Head down to ESL Asia's page for more information.
