Once again amazing work by the video team. 2014 wasn't only a nice year for gaming, it was also a nice year for Gamespot. Sure, they (and we) lost some nice old faces and some of the losses are still saddening (#sicklayups, never forget), but their content got stronger and stronger. It's been great to follow the team and the way they interact with us and with themselves, there's always a smile on my face when they show some bit of what's going on in the office. The content become more mature but without loosing all the fun and silliness we all need, mixing it together with some more innovative ways to present it to us. Some people probably won't even notice some stuff but to me, as a designer who also does some video work, I loved it when they cared about the small details.
A special shout out to Danny and Andy (and all the pear) for trying so much stuff this year and a thank you to their bosses for letting them doing it. No disrespect to the others, I love them all and I recognize the work of others who are usually not shown as much on the videos, but I really enjoyed the work these two did. A quick mention to the UK team too, they're great as always. This video is a culmination and celebration of 2014 not only in videogames but also in Gamespot. As for 2015, keep it going like this, keep trying new stuff and please give us more of Rob and Mary when they can because they're awesome. Oh, and bring back Random Encounter!
