@parabol69 ...why? How is this a negative thing in any way, shape, or form? It's something that people, who collect Amiibo's have been wanting to see since Amiibo's became available.
It's not for everyone, it's just for the group that "Trains," their Amiibo's for practice or fun.
I'm not of those people, but heck, I'd probably enter one of mine into the tournament just for fun, see how much it gets it's butt kicked by the professional players ones.
And I have bad news, Nintendo isn't going to be disappearing from the console market...unless gaming itself comes to an end. Even if they completely go bankrupt (Like they've apparently been destined to do about 30 times the past 15 years now), they are going to have NO problem whatsoever making money and games as a 3rd party company.
Do you have any idea how much Sony/Microsoft/Apple would pay Nintendo for their IP's or for them to develop games exclusively for them?? More than ANY other 3rd company would even dream of.
And by the way, Nintendo, as a company, currently has more money than Sony, as a company, does. Microsoft AND Sony have both LOST money from their consoles, just as Nintendo has, the past few years.
But NONE of them are going out of business in terms of the gaming industry. If ANYONE is in danger of that happening, it's Sony/Microsoft. They have very little diversity between one another, and all it takes is one of them coming out with some huge innovation that puts the other out of business.
